Window Treatment Curtains  

There is nothing more inviting for any room in the house than a window treatment curtain. You can find a style for any room in the house if you do enough looking around and once you find the one that expresses your house in the best way possible, it will blend in perfectly with already-established feel of the room.  There are a few properties you should be looking for in a window curtain: lace, insulated linen, and ruffles.  If you already have curtains with these features, then you are well on your way to styling your windows in the best possible manner.

Lace curtains are used for the most decorative rooms in the house.  You will find them in the dining room, sitting room, and where you like to enjoy your afternoon tea with a few friends.  Those friends will be taken back by lace curtains if you have them installed the next time they come over to gossip about the neighbors.  There are both casual and elegant styles, but when it comes to lace, you are going to want to go all out when it comes to elegance and beauty.  Save these curtains for the cleanest, most deserving rooms in the house because the cheaper lace curtains won't come off nearly as well to your guests.

Ruffles are something that should be included in every window curtain in the house.  It doesn't matter if it's the dining room or the laundry room because ruffles can fit into any style and offer a unique perk that just doesn't exist with any of the other window curtain designs.  It doesn't matter what the material or color is on the window treatment curtains because the ruffles can help bring out the positive parts of any curtain. 

Although, you do want to keep elegant with elegant and casual with casual.  The ruffles should be more classical and noticeable in the living room area, while in the bathroom you may want to go with more casual, less noticeable ruffles.

On almost all of my curtains, I have decided to go with an insulated linen material.  These let the air from an open window flow more freely throughout a room and can add a nice breeze on a hot summer day.  Insulated curtains are a must have for bathrooms because of how congested they can get.  Any other small area rooms should be held with the same considerations.  I would not go with these in a dining or living room, where style and grace is more important than allowing a breeze blow through the room.
